In Between Days

About

Update, June 16th 2009: okay, I’m finally out of Florida, but in Staunton, Virginia, not St. Louis, Missouri. And this website is officially done with. Check the last post on the main page for the url to the new site.

Another year, another website. More later.

Update, January 21: okay, it’s later. Anyway, this website is kind of a transitional blog, between the current me who lives in Florida, and the new me that hopefully somewhere around the end of May will be living up north. I have selected as my destination, for no clear reason, St. Louis. Well, I do happen to know a couple of bloggers I read happen to live near or around there (and won’t they be surprised when I and my cats show up on their doorstep — just kidding! Ha ha! Heh.), and I’ve long wanted to go to the Midwest properly, and St. Louis is a city with a lot of history, which I love. Also Missouri seems to have really easy-going booze laws, which of course has nothing to do with it. Of course.

Anyway, as of this update I am currently unemployed, and have only managed to be intermittently employed since I was laid off from a large homebuilding company (where I was an office worker in one of the departments) in 2007. My current needs are for a temporary job to help me make ends meet and also save up some cash for the trip up north. I’ll also be looking for a more permanent position in St. Louis, though I haven’t quite worked out the logistics of that yet.

Feel free to donate to my Paypal account if you want to help out, or just like my online scribblings (typings?) and feel I deserve a design or two. (Note: that link goes to my old Spleenville index page. WordPress.com doesn’t allow direct Paypal links on its free sites, or so I believe — I haven’t been able to get the button to show up in the sidebar, anyway. It’s not a big deal, it just means people will have to click a couple of extra times.. You can also access this page by going to wherever the tabs are in whatever theme I have decided to use and clicking on “Donate.”)

Anyway, once I have moved out of Florida and settled down, later this year, I’ll be changing my website in some fashion. I haven’t decided what to do yet. Maybe it will be a more conventional type website, with a permanent blog (that is, one I don’t change every year), a photo site, a stories site… Or not. We will see.
